Why has the Elian thing gotten so big? I mean, think of how many people we have here in the US that are in the same situation (A child of an imigrant family lives with PART of his family in the US and the other part of his family wants him to come back to his home country). Was one story picked and hyped to death to give the media something to do? jeesh.. enough.

This sort of thing happens all the time but you never hear about it. You've got 2 sides each using that child for its own agenda. In addition you've got America bashers crawling out of their roachmotel homes in the woodwork to be slapped down by yours truly. Overall I'm sick about and tired of the whole sad situation.

The news media are a bunch of scumbuckets. They think its their wronghearted duty to <u>make news and not report it</u>. This is one profession that certainly has no honor and esteem at all no more.
