This is the first year since I was 18 that I have been alone over the holidays. Doesn't help that my girlfriend and I broke up a couple of months ago. Had a crappy day yesterday besides spending time with faimly but thinking about how good things appeared to be last year, this year is tough, can't wait for christmas...(Snicker and groan)

Well, at least you have your family with you.

I thought I was going to be all alone for Thanksgiving, and then a friend invited me over to a potluck the day before. She then invited me to her family's house for Thanksgiving, and everything snowballed from there. I've had more fun in the last couple of days than I have for several months. It just goes to show you that things can turn around in hurry. Cheer up, and don't let thoughts of what could have been keep you from enjoying the here and now.

It does feel really bad breaking up with someone right before the holidays. But your not alone, don't underestimate how important family is in your life.

I am single this year for the holidays also. It feels kind of weird, not to have someone there. I am happy though that I am not in a relationship anymore that was totally wrong. Be happy for the things that you do have, and things will definately turn around for you. (Just think of the money you will be saving on Christmas gifts!) jk :P

I live pretty far from family so I've pretty much gotten used to it. As a matter of fact I now prefer not having all the drama to deal with. But if you get lonely or bored do what I do...just head to the nudie bar! :naughty:
