I'm using internet explorer and everytime I go to google or alta vista I get redirected to this website cPanel.net. But in the address bar of IE it still says google.com or altavista.com...What could be the problem. I've ran Ad-Aware several times and I have no viruses on my computer.
Sounds like you have the Qhost trojan. Get more info here:

ad-aware doesn't serch for viruses, it searches for spy-ware. AVG http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php which is free searches for Viruses. Be sure to update both of those, and make sure that your current windows version is up to date. I think you know what you meant but typed the wrong thing.

Make sure it is fully updated, and also do not forget to update windows XP. Within IE got tools -> windows update. Your host files may have been tampered with as well, So I would also recreate those.

Do a search for "hosts" (no quotes) in your windows folder and subfolders and see what comes up. Usually there's one in /windows/system32/drivers/etc.
Then view the file or files with notepad or some other text editor and see what they contain.
My guess is you've got a rogue hosts file redirecting you.

Just delete the "hosts" files with in that (/windows/system32/drivers/etc) directory. Then reboot your machien and windows will recreate them for you. Be careful though
