That's cheap. Ofcourse it sucks, but still cheaper than what I ususally pay for my "crime".

did you even try to talk him out of giving you the ticket?
once i just said i couldn't afford to pay for a speeding ticket and that i was so so sorry and he let me off with a warning.
another time i said i was late for a meeting and i knew going too fast was wrong, but i didn't want to let my co-workers down by being late, and i was so so sorry.
another time i didn't have my license with me so he just made me promise to carry my license with me whenever i drove from then on. which i said i would and that i was so so sorry.
another time i said that i was coasting down a hill and didn't realize the speed i had gotten up, and that i needed to pay better attention, and that i was so so sorry.
another time i KNEW the cop, and well....that was that.
another time i .... :P

You know... My brother hates me for this, but I've gotten pulled over six times, and been let go all but once. Of course, a military ID is helpful in situations like this. Not that I was trying to flash it, per se, but it was visible. The other time was just over a year ago on the day before Christmas.
It has nothing to do with breasts. Of course, I have man-boobs but I'm not sure the cops cared.

It really sucks to hear about your ticket, I hope you can take defensive driving or get deferred judification.
Also, I find prevention the best method. The easiest of course is not speeding, but that is a bunch of BS. Reminds me of that crap in school they tried to teach us, "the best way to not get pregnant is abstinence", BS the best way is to double rubber and the pill. I must say, I LOVE!!! My Valentine One radar detector. It is the greatest thing since sliced bread. In your case you probably would of been screwed no matter what because the cop was just looking for trouble, but that darn thing has saved my butt so many times it is not even funny. It is better than my brothers 8500 and gives me more advance notice, and better precision on where the signal is from.

well if you wanna get off pretty much any traffic infraction just have a badge. my brother works for the Fed. Gov't and speeds all the time. all he has to do is flash his badge and it's "have a good day."
i know that sucks, but not for him.

yeah, having a badge is basically a "get out of jail free" card for practically anything. i mean, do you know how many cops get away with drunk driving and other infractions just because no cop ever wants to arrest another cop?
in michigan, members of the michigan state police and their families can get license plates containing the letters "MSP" (as in 999 MSP or MSP 111). so they look like normal plates, but cops know what they mean. i think it's about impossible to get pulled over with one of those plates. you routinely see people driving 25+ over and flying by speed traps.
the military id is also a great way to get out of tix, because many police officers are veterans and they generally have great respect for the armed forces.

my brother has actually said his brother is a "police brother" and gotten out of a speeding ticket.
i haven't had the brass to try that one.

I both love the sig, and must follow up my military ID story. Whereas I got let go from a nearly 100mph ticket for my ID, my ROTC professor, who was a Major, didn't. He got three tickets in one month. He wasn't happy that a stupid cadet got let go and that a field grade officer nearly lost his license.
