i think with a guy, it's easier to tell them to stfu if they are talking about themselves to much. with a girl i think i'd have to go with the first option. and then wait for a more level-headed one to come along.

I guess if I had to pick one, I would go with the one that didn't do anything I told him to do. Then I would tell him to do things that I really didn't want done. Maybe he would then do the opposite.

If you want him to do what you want, why not just go with option #1 (the pushover) instead of hoping reverse psychology will work on the anti-obedient one?

I wouldn't say that I have NO experience, but I do have a small amount of experience in such matters.
