Last friday I had an interview with a law firm for an associates position and they offered me the position. Of course with the market being the way it is, I accepted it.
Everything about the job seems great. Its a smaller firm that is growing in a growing market. They are about to move into a new building once its done being built. The partner doesnt require billable hours but rather just 8:30 - 6pm each day with an hour for lunch and possibly 1 weekend day a month. Plus the areas that they practice in are the areas I wanted to practice. The only negative thing is that the firm is a little bit away from where I currently live (40 miles each way) but its all freeway which makes it bearable.
Either way tomorrow is my first day at this firm. I know there are several things that need to be worked out regarding the next few weeks but the partner doesnt seem to think that it would be a problem.
