YES!!!! I called AT&T today, and they said that I could get a cable modem now!!! No more dialup!!! Yay i get a new 56k paperweight!!!

yeah, unfortunately they cant install till midweek. I'll keep u posted as to when i get it!

The apartment I'm moving into in August has Cox Cable as a provider. Anybody know how their service is when it comes to cable modems?

yeah - i remember those days of dial up modems..... ive had my dsl for like, a year and a half now, and ill never go back. ill pawn off my car, wife's wedding ring, my kidneys, ANYTHING - just so i can keep my dsl!
