There is no good reason for all these nosey, intrusive questions. The reason for the census is the measure the amount of people the US has. Nothing more. Liberals need to know your race and ethnicity so they can continue to carry out those divisive policies they love so much. We should not accommodate them in doing so. As for school funding issue that someone is bound to raise ("but-but..." he/she stammered, "the schools won't get all the funding they need sniffle") 7% of the funding for schools comes from the Federal government. Education is the domain of local and state governments. But most of all its our responsibility to ensure that we and our children get the education needed. We are the ones ultimately responsible for our education not Uncle Sugar. For example my sister and her husband are the ones who make the decision of which school they are going to send my nephew to in the fall.

Now the Clinton administration has a plan to count 90% of the population and then using statistical methods make up the remaining 10% of the population they say was undercounted. Yeah like this corrupt administration is so trustworthy. The United States Constitution says an actual enumeration (actual headcount) must be done and the Supreme Court said in a decision a few months ago this bs plan could not be used. This raises an interesting quandary though: If these numskulls don't know what the total population of the US is how can they know what 90% of the population is? If they know what the total population is then there is no need to make up people like they were scheming to do.

Allow me to explain....

I live in Oregon. Oregon is a state of a few million bleeding-heart liberals voting for the rest of us hard-working, Chinese-made-stereo buying, anti-animal rights savages, whose jobs and families are less important than the well being of a bird, a fish, and a of couple of bugs. If you don't send in your census forms and respond to the interviews, Oregon will have a gross advantage in the House of Representatives. The House will undoubtably pass laws forbidding any human from living or working withing 200 miles of any place where a bird has flown or where any fish has swam. Because Oregon has rivers and birds everywhere, my family and I would be forced to move back to California or Washington, and endure bad traffic and sales tax. PLEASE DON'T ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN. PLEASE COOPERATE WITH THE CENSUS.

You should be forced to move back to California Bires! You shouldn't have the freedom to live where you want and should be grateful that you aren't taxed more. I totally agree SBP. The area I live in use to be a swamp. I am going to pack up my things and move out to CA. Before I leave I will just dig up my yard and leave the water running. That way I can give my part back to nature. Come on everyone...we can all do our part. Let's all move to CA they have plenty of room out there.

I am also going to ask congress to pass a law of only one child per couple. That way there will be no over crowding and the animals and have plenty of space.

The census would be so much easier to take if everyone lived in CA. We can all just line up in a straight line and count off. Man I should run for President with all these great ideals. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/cool.gif

heh Bires you live in Oregon and you complain about the sales tax...but not the state income tax you have to endure or the mandatory gas station attendanents that pump the gas price another 20 cents a gallon(no pun intended)
i've driven in oregon the traffic on I5 in portland albany and salem is just as bad as any other city. and that speed limit of 55 is ridiculous....i come across the columbia at 70 and hit the border and have to slow down 15 miles so some oregon cop won't bust me just cause i got washington plates....oh well i'm off to fill out my census oh wait no i'm not....

You're from WA. I lived there once (twice actually). Did you know that AAA named I405 from Renton north the "Worst Highway" and the East Sound beat out South LA for most dangerous place to drive.

heh sorry wasn't trying to be as harsh as it sounded...i live in the east sound are and yeah i know it is one of the most dangerous places to drive. my insurance rates show that it is. i don't drive 405 it sucks. there are actually intersections around my area that have had 100+ accidents in the past year. but i go to school in chicago and the traffic back home is nothing compared to it.anyway why would anyone want to go to renton anyway http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/wink.gif
