I have my big court date with the ex on friday morning and I'm a little nervous either way. For those who don't know (which is probably most of you) She decided to sue me in conciliation court for money that she stole from me (Long story short version), Anyways I decided to countersue for back rent for the lease that she is still obligated to among other things (Fee's associated with bounced checks from the account that she stole the money from so forth).
She came into the store I work at today to make a payment on her employee account which is very strange because she could have went to any other store, which there is about 9 to choose from around the city but instead she choose to come into mine. Very strange.
Anyways wish me luck
Thanks

Court went pretty good for the most part. She brought her mother and step-dad with her as witnesses, they had this super pretentous attitude like they had everything under control and that nothing could bother them. When the judge starting talking and asking questions I explained my side of the story and he looked at her and said I think I'm just going to call it even. She started to try and justify her taking my money by saying that I told her that I owed her money and so forth, her step-dad interjected and the judge says, "I could just go ahead and give him the money that he is asking for because he has legal right to that money". Anyways long story short she had no chance to win anything that she was asking for and she's lucky the judge didn't give me a judgement against her. I'm pretty sure her whole faimly is feeling pretty stupid and wishes they could not be such losers.

I'm sorry I don't understand the judgement. You just got what was yours and no extra for the hassle? I'm happy that you won but you didn't collect any interest on top? I guess I was waiting for a vindictive insult to injury in your favor judgement for her trying to screw you over. Sorry if I'm being nosey.

Basically what it boils down to is neither of us won anything. I personnally won because she showed up trying to look important and the judge basically belitlled her for bringing the case in front of him. Her mother was pissed and she wasn't very happy either so I got some vindication anyways. In reality I'm out close to $300 with the fees for court, returned check fees and so forth but it's finally over and all ties are broken.
