23 was one of my best times as I got out of that hell known as UCLA and was making an income and learning to play stocks. Actually felt like I was doing something useful, and learned a lot about myself. Yeah, I guess it can seem like a limbo period. At least in school you know what you're doing until the end of the week, semester, year or what have you.

With a job you don't know if you'll get fired or get a huge crush on that girl who works with you. You ask her, but she says no. But then she keeps droppin' all these signals. Damnit, why don't they make sense! *SLAP*
