NEC ND-2500 8X DVD Writer

I'm thinking about purchasing the new NEC ND-2500 DVD writer and using it in my MAC desktop. Has anyone tryed this? Does it work under the MAC OS 10.3 (Panther). I'm assuming it should work, but I don't know if there are things I'm not considering when using in the Macintosh system. Thanks

I'm looking at this same burner as well. ;)

I can't seem to find any reviews yet, so I can't tell if it's worth not going with more expensive models (i.e. Plextor, Pioneer).
