What do you think of them? Personally, I would never trust them.

My friend's brother lives in Texas. He is 51,has been married numerous times and is supposedly a nymphomaniac.

He has been writing to a Filipino woman for quite a long time, and I believe even met her. She is only 21 and really wants to marry this guy.

Well, he has been asking her many questions and she appears to be sincere.
So he will probably bring her here and marry her.

Now my friend who is 41 is getting all excited and may even attempt the same thing.

I think it's a joke.

Anyone know someone who tried this?

A friend of my brother-in-law's (if you followed that, you're already ahead of me) got involved with a woman through a service that matched up American men with women from an Asia-Pacific country.

He changed his mind at the last minute because he saw something on 20/20 or one of the newsmagazine shows about how these women are brought here to marry someone and then they vanish once they're here and the marriage license is filed.

I sure wouldn't trust any of these "services."

Mail order brides have been around for a long time. Sometimes the relationships work out and other times not.

I wouldn't say its a joke. Do have concerns about 'em. Like how strong is the foundation being built for a good relationship? Its tough enough developing a solid relationship that will last even when people see each other. Now add long distance to the mix to complicate matters. Then, after being married, they have to live with each other.

Your friends brother is not a nymphomaniac. nymphomania=excessive sexual desire by a female. He is a satyr {a lecherous man}.

As for what caribiner23 said in his post, that has happened. But being used goes both ways. Some of these older guys just want a young chick to bang which is a pretty pathetic reason to get married. http://home.earthlink.net/~sbp777/smilies/headshaker.gif And sometimes when it doesn't work out, the guy wants to dump her back.
