$20 sweeter thanks to a new coupon that DOES work on Tech items!

Start here: OfficeDepot.com (http://www.officedepot.com)

Search for item: 447679

Use coupon code: 53447107 ($20 off $100 purchase through 1/31/04)

Rebate 1 - $30 off (http://rebateimages.teg-online.com/79843.jpg)
Rebate 2 - $30 off - front (http://rebateimages.teg-online.com/78998.jpg)
Rebate 2 - $30 off - back (http://rebateimages.teg-online.com/78998Back.jpg)

When you click on "REBATEcenter" on their website (after you've searched), you'll see the 2 separate rebates. Mail them to separate addresses if you have multiple, just to be sure... this can apply to multiple rebates on anything.

$150 HD
- 20 coupon
- 60 rebate
= 70 + tax, free shipping

so staples has it for 119.xx so it's a PM fisaco.

I called and the CSR said no, then i asked her why not (just coz i felt like it) and she went to ask her manager, she came back and told me her manager said the staples price was below their cost price.

okay, so i hung up and thought "yeah right"

now i'm still waiting with the second CSR, this time, i just gave him the staples item number, he seems to be taking a long ass time about it though....

**edit**
6 mins later, still listening to the "hold music", it sounds like something that came out of the Jedi game.

**edit**
2 mins after more waiting, he came back, and he got the authorization to PM it for me. woot

**edit**
2 mins later, the stupid dude is still fumbling trying to do the pricematch. which begs the question: Stupid CSRs, good of bad for consumer?

**edit**
1 min later, i said "HELLO?" and i asked him where he is, he says he's in FL, i asked him about the weather, he says it hot, then he said the 20 dollar coupon is not working, so he's going to manually overwrite it with a 20 dollar credit (woot).

bascially, my bill will show the actual cost, but they will give me a credit on my card for the correct amount. he said there was some technical issue with my internet order and them trying to overwrite it now, and they (i guess the accounts people) are going to do a credit tonight.

I checked staples and they have it listed at $139.98
did they raise the price on it?
