Well, on the long trial of stuff breaking on me, my brand new inspiron 8600 decided to not show video one morning when I turned it on.
I call dell, they send a guy out to fix it, the parts he had didn't fix it, he came back with more parts, still didn't fix it. Well, contrary to the definition of "onsite service," they had to send it in.
Three days later I call dell tech support to see wtf my laptop is. They say "the video card is backordered and we can't ship it out to you until the 25th of January."
I told them to stick any video card they had in and send it back because I NEED my laptop... so they stuck the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo 128mb card in it and I'll have it tomorrow. Pretty nice free upgrade from the Geforce Go 5200 32mb.
