How many times have you been in Love?

Obviously everyone has their own definition of Love, but how many times have you gotten to a certain point of a relationship where you felt you could spend the rest of your life with that other person?

Do you think it's possible to Love more than 1 person?

I've BEEN in love twice. Looking back I'd say 1 really wasn't. But at the time I was. Perhaps it wasn't strong enough to last. And sure, you can love multiple people.

with how i would define love, no, i don't think you could truly be in love with two people at the same time.

now lust....that's a totally different story. you can be in lust with MANY people at the same time :naughty:

I've been in 4 long term relationships in my life, including my wife.

Out of those 4, I would have to say my only real love is my wife. We have been together *I think* 10 years now. All the other "LTR's" were 2 years or less, and only one of those (The women I love my virginity to) did the subject of marriage even come up. At the time I thought I loved her, but looking back all those years ago, it was just because it was a "first time" thing. :(

As i get older, I've re-examine the times I've been in love and I'm really starting to question whether or not I've actually really been in love more than once. Emotions are hard to figure out that way. What I thought was love back then seems like a juvenile crush now.

I think i have been in love probably 3 real times. I think my biggest issue was that at some points, i loved multiple girls in the i care about you way, and i couldn't figure that it was a caring and not an "i want to be intimate and spend forever with you thing." And the worst problem, was this was in high school, so if i hung with a girl for more then 5 minutes it was oh, hes moving onto the next girl, what a player... and it created a lot of issues. Thus i blew through 5 relationships in my senior year of high school, but didn't think that any but 1 were actually in love.

I would say only in college and even late college did i realize that i felt care and worry for many girls, but if i had to pick only one that i wanted to spend a long relationship or be romantic with, i could knock it down to one pretty fast.

So i guess my point of question for those who say they are into 2 girls/boys at once is... If you had to absolutely pick one person to spend forever with, could you do it? If you say yes, then i would say thats who you are in love with. If you say no, then i would say its probably either a lust thing with both, or a care thing with both and you dont feel strong enough of the in love feeling to make that decision.

Oh and if you are trying to figure out the in love thing between two, best not to string them along.. tell them you want to be friends for now... Its a bad person who leads two lives.
