Have others had bad experiences with PC Microstore? I think Apex needs to think about whether or not to continue to list these guys. Here are reasons why I don't like their service:
1. They charged my credit card the date of my order (1/20/04) but have yet to ship my products. -- BAD CREDIT CARD PRACTICES
2. Upon calling them to do this, they stated that a product I had ordered was out of stock, and will be restocked today. When I purchased it, it was labelled as "In Stock", with a definite quantity. -- MISLEADING STOCK INFO
3. I asked them to not charge credit cards in the future, and I was shrugged off with "Fine, we won't do it again." Not exactly a confident promise to me.
I would seriously ask that GotApex stop listing deals from this company, as their business practices are shady at best.

This is actualy illegal. They can't bill your card untill they ship. Most likely it was an accident. People do make mistakes. It happening once is not a big deal. If it happens to a lot of people, it is a big deal and the CC companies will stop doing business with them.

Sorry to bust you bubble, but these only update every few minutes at best, daily at worst. They could have run out even while you were looking at the page. It happens frequently. A merchant will always do their best to keep a fast selling product in stock, it makes them money. They could also be using a 3rd party to stock and ship the item. It is much more difficult to track that way. Always take stock levels with a grain of salt. It's nice if they are accurate, but it's unreasonable to always assume they will be so.

An easy thing to promise when you know it's not going to happen again whether you ask or not. It's not something legitimate stores will intentionaly do.

Maybe in your experience. My experience has been two purchases that went off without a hitch. The items were delivered quickly and were exactly as advertised. If I would have to say that I had a problem it was that the items shipped so quickly that the post office tracking didn't even know they had the package untill it was sitting in my mailbox. :D
Mistakes happen. Don't like the custome service? Did you get to talk to a live person? Was it quick? What tone did you take with the person you talked to? If you come off agressive and insulting, or just plain angry, you won't get good service. You'll just piss off the person trying to help you.
You are basing your recomedation to discontinue business with a company based on one bad transaction. I checked resellerratings.com... they have a 9.2 six month rating and a 9.11 lifetime rating. That's very good. It is much higher than Amazon.com, Buy.com, Computergeeks, and Dell.
It happen.
