Question on Half.com

I found something that I am interested in on half.com but I was just curious what others thought of the site. Is it just like ebay in the sense that I am paying some person that I do not know? Or does half.com act as a type of third party to hold the money and insure that everything gets to who its supposed to be? I just don't want to buy something on there and find out I have no recourse if the other person screws me over and takes my money and I don't get my item. Any experiences/clarifications on how half.com works would be appreciated. Thanks.

With half.com, you are guaranteed your money + a little reimbursement on your shipping/handling. They are being the middleman. If something is wrong with the item you send out, the customer would then send it to half.com for them to take care of. You are guaranteed your money except if you did not carry out your side of the deal according to your sale item.

Half.com is great. I place like 10 orders with them already and all of them came pretty quick.

i used Half.com to sell stuff...you sell very fast, i made $220 in a few days selling old cds...
