I moved to an apartment, which I can only get the directv service. I am wondering if there is cracked card or black box of any kind (kind of like black box that people already cracked the program so you can watch all tv programs including pay per view by only paying basic service)

Thanks in advance!

The older DirecTV receivers came with a card which is known as an H card. The current receivers have an HU card (Also known as the football card since it has a picture of a football player on it). In theory, the H card is the only card that can be reprogrammed for full service. Of course, this information is for educational purposes only and I do not endorse any illegal actions of any kind. =)

You can search for stuff like this on ebay (h card) and also search the net.... the stuff is out there. Freakinfreak is way right about it being illegal though.

Actually, I think DirecTV has alerted eBay about the whole H card situation. They are considering them contraband items when sold w/o a receiver.

Thanks guys for your input, after I checked I found out that my system is using Hu card. and I have SONY B50, it was manufacturing in Oct/1999 in Mexico, Can I still use H card on my SONY B50? I also saw some ads on Internet that claim that they can program Hu card, is that really ture?

Of course, all the conversation on this board are only for educational purposes!!!

H cards will work in any receiver. HU cards can not be programmed. If any company claims they can program HU cards, they are lying. H cards are the ONLY ones to this date that will take the programming.
