NSS: poker!

alright, so today my friend had a poker tournament. he was planning to have at least 16 people, but only 13 were there. $50 buy in, 7 at one table, 6 at the other. we put the people together when each table knocked out 3 people. i made it to the last round, and i actually made it to the last two people! the payouts were 275, 125, 100, 50. the 125/100 payout was messed up cause they're too close for a big difference. anyway, i was there for about 14hours, but played cards for maybe 11-12 hours of that. at 2 am me and the last kid decid3d to just split the pot. so i took home $200! not bad for playing cards and all that :)

hehe - very cool - we play on friday nights regularly....

occasionally we do a tournament...theres 6 of us so we all throw in $25...

i'm getting close to winning it all......

Ya same here, everytime we get together for poker it is all just friends. So it is taking money from your friends, or the one kid that somebody invites and nobody knows. That is why online poker is sooo much more fun, easier to win and you don't feel about taking the guys money.

I enjoy playing craps or Blackjack at the casino more. I'd rather take money from the casino than take it from other people. (of course I'd rather lose to other people instead of the casino, but I don't lose :P)

what i do with my friends is winner doesnt have to pay for pizza. we usually play with 5-10$ with around 6 people. around midnight we order pizza with 50$ and leave 10$ on the table. by the time we finish the game, pizza is here...winner gets a free meal by taking the 10$

it doesnt always work out that well...as long as you purchase the food with the money asap people dont feel as jipped because everyone came out with something (a meal and a great time with friends) we do the $ pot for beer as well

i joined an online one to give my buddy some referall money in his account...

i get a 25 buck bonus as well...as long as i play 125 hands...

unfortunately, i ended up playing 25 bucks and losing it all by the 90th hand....doesn't quite work out for me :(
