View Full Version : CompGeeks - How quick to ship?

Just wondering if anybody has ordered from CompGeeks? Placed an order today before the deadline, but order still says it is being processed. Any idea when they send out tracking #s?
I've ordered from them a few times, and I usually got everything within, whenever they said I should get it. ie: they said i should have it in 5 days, i got it in 5 days.

I live pretty close to them so stuff use to come pretty quick. Like within 3 days or so. I say "use to" because I ordered a digital camera from them and it was defective when I got it. They insisted that I pay for return shipping and then recieve a store credit for the amount of the camera since they didnt have any more in stock. I argued with them for about half an hour until I said, "Fine, I am just going to dispute this through my credit card company." They finally credited my account but I will never shop there again. I just think that I shouldnt have had to argue with the guys to get my money back when they sold me a defective product. :shrug:
I should mention that I got some pretty good deals through them in the past. I guess thats the risk you take...

My experience with the Geeks is exactly the same as Psilly's.
I got some really great deals in the past, but my last experience was with a refurbed HP digital camera that was plain cr4p. (Maybe PP got the one I returned.) Then there was a hassle with crediting me for the full price (they claimed there was nothing wrong with it) and when I said I was about to dispute, they processed my full refund.
I may or may not order from them again, but I'm definitely staying away from their refurbed stuff.

hehe...seems like you guys got screwed with the same camera...
I've gotten things in a very timely fasion. never had to return anything...so I've been perfectly happy with them.

Considering the prices they offer on items they are pretty good. It is hard to have a liberal return policy when you aren't padding the cost by much. I have had some problems with them, but always resolved to my satisfaction.
