for an old mobo...
the mother board can accept up to:
AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (133MHz)
AMD Athlon 1.4GHz
AMD Duron 1.8GHz (133MHz)
AMD Duron 1.3GHz
which processor should i get (best price/performance ratio)
good price is very important...(little money).
It appears your best available retail bet is the ATHLON XP 2400+.

If your mb supports the Barton core, get the Barton 2500+.

Barton core is the newer Athlon XP processor with 333Mhz FSB instead of 266Mhz FSB of the older Athlon XP processors. If you mb doesn't support PC2700/DDR333, it will not support the Barton core CPUs.
