Making the o/c forum a subforum is a good move for now. If traffic doesn't pick up over time, then shelve it.

Kill it. If people want to know about it there are forums dedicated to OC.

Bragging about how fast you could overclock a processor as early as 2 years ago impressed a lot of geeks.

Today, the list of new and old processors goes from a Pentium 133 all the way to a Pentium 4 3.4 . That's almost a 30 fold range.

If someone today overclocks a 1.6 GHz to 2.2 GHz or a 2.4 GHz to 3 GHz, people yawn.

I am not sure what that proves, but that's my 2 cents.

As a former die-hard overclocker and modder, I find the forum of little use.

Not enough of us frequent the forum for the newer OCers to get good advice.

The hardware forum is more useful.

on a side notes....how did the GAM come up with the name of this website? I'm just wondering.

Apex = Peak, the pinnacle. The best of the best. The oc'rs of the oc'rs. Do you got the best? Are you the best? The peak perfromer. The most high of the high fidelitist......

:P

I have no idea actually. :) I came here to check deals and ended up staying cuz of the food.

BTW, if i decide to set up another rig should i brag.. err.... talk about it here or should i do it in OC? 2.8 prescotts are on the cheap but its very hit or miss on the oc.

The overclocking forum is going to be a subforum to see how traffic is. If the forum remains basically empty, it will be deactivated eventually.
