I just had word a couple of days ago from some friends who still work at Monster to tell me not to advise people to buy their DVI400 DVI-D video cables! Some packages have been showing up in stores with just 18-Pins instead of the 24-Pins that you will see in some of those blister packs. It does not stop there this is going to piss some customers off because of the news leak. The other cables that do show all 24-Pins are not all connected in the inside of the cable so what you have been buying lately on the DVI400 is a cosmetic 24-Pin cable but it is really only a 18-Pin cable! Get a refund if you have purchased these cables already, it is a scam right now that Monster was not going to announce to the public in anyway what so ever. Customers are more important then Mr Lee's special interests.

heh, Monster cables are overpriced ripoffs anyway.
for the same price as their products, you can get far superior products online in specialty shops/stores.

Your rite I know of a specialty shop (http://www.hookupvideo.com/digitalcables/dvid.htm) and they use ferrit cores on each end for a lower price than the cheating Monster DVI400.

I love the descriptions that Monster Cable uses to make the cables sound great. Gold Plated connectors! (not too tough a feature to find even at Radio Shack).

If you're going to pay that much, get cobalt cables DVI. They use 22 AWG conductors instead of the cheaper/thinner 28-30 AWG that most use.
