long story made short.

my mom and dad divorced when i was little, didn't see him for >10 years. now he lives in another country with his new family. but we were "reunited" a couple years back. so now he emails me...actually, he just floods my email box with all those "funny" forwards, or my favorite, chain letters. i don't mean one a month, i'm talking about almost one a day, and they ALWAYS contain some jpg files, so they're always very big.

it's just more bothersome than anything else. anyways, just venting. thanx...carry on.

i have gotten so i just delete email forwards that look like those passed around the internet over and over.
i find they are just phases that the senders go through, and finally they don't send 'em anymore.

I dunno about a phase... I have an uncle that has been sending me crap for over a year. I don't even talk to him -- haven't since I was a kid. I think he got my email from my mom.

What really gets me is when he forwards something to everyone in the family and then mom and her sisters fwd it to everyone in their books too. So you end up with 3-4 copies of the same crap.

THEN you send them the snoops link just because they are freaking out. Can they bookmark that site?? NO! They have to send you every email they freak out over and ask "chrissy, is this true??"

I think next time I get back to IL and run updates on thier computers, I am going to remove the fwd button from the tool bar :D

My aunt who I haven't seen in about 5 years sends me crap all the time. I recently put an autoresponder on one of my emails saying that my account was closed, so that she will stop sending me stuff :hihi:

I know I'm late on this, but damn it struck home. Every summer I get probably 50 emails of various hoaxes from the same offenders that need to check out hoaxbusters or snopes.

if one more a-hole deletes jdbgmgr.exe....
