Bleh, practically every day for 2 months straight. I apparently do not do well with poor, insufficient, or interrupted sleep. Man, I'm grouchy.

do you have the feeling that the kid will never sleep and that you will be tired and miserable for the rest of your natural life? it gets better. i PROMISE. at about 3 months the baby get into a rythm and it's all good. our first slept through the night at about 3 months but carter started sleeping through the night at about 5 weeks.

I'' be happy to take him for a week so you can catch up on your sleep!

Seriously though, I hope you get some sleep soon.

Cheapie, my son didn't sleep thru the night until he was 2...years! I'm glad yours did sooner, and hope little apex is sooner too!

well, with austin we kept waiting until for him to sleep through the night. the doctor told us at his 3 or 4 month checkup, he should be sleeping through the night now. just feed him at about 11 or so and then let him cry during the night. it worked like a charm. it sucked that first night but every night after rocked. occasionally during a growth spurt he would wake up and need a feeding but those were few and far between. and now he's potty trained. WOOT!

Cool! I know the whole rule about letting your kids cry-it-out, but I must be a failure as a mom, because I could never do it. I'm glad it worked for you.

i feel your pain, apex. i feel it and i am crabbie! i need a deal on tylenol.

it doesn't sound bad when you say he only wakes up twice a night, but when he stays awake for 40 or more minutes, it sucks :(

Heh, it's 3 motrin and 2 prescription strength painkillers at a time for me.

With samantha, she would sleep two hours, be awake two hours. This was steady for 3 months solid. I didn't have a brain left in my head by then.

Mr. Apex, my diagnosis is that you are suffering from a condition known as "New Father Syndrome". Take two acetaminophen, see me in three months (when I will pronounce you as "healed"), and pay my bill when you get it in the mail.

I tell you, it's aging me prematurely. I have all this white hair now, and it's not all from my wife. :)

I have often said, "Ahhh, kids. They keep us young, and they make us old."

unfortunately, I can't take anything that will really cut the pain... as someone else has said, it's my job, I am breastfeeding.

And today he slept all day.. and I didn't have the heart to keep him up. He had his circ done today.. :(

He was in pain.

I will. I hear it takes about 21 years on average, though a bit longer for Asians.

Hope you don't have to rely on motrin and other pain killers too much, ibuprophen does horrible things to your stomach if taken daily.

I've been waking up to severe headaches for the past month myself. I can't even function and the pain is too severe to get out of bed. I pop some advil gel caps and go back to bed. It even hurts so bad it takes me a while to get back to sleep. It's really starting to piss me off. Thinking about going to a doctor. Have you visited one at all Apex?
