btw: whats the purpose of the flat sheet? is it supposed to have any practical use other than looks?

Now that we're yapping about all those beautiful 400 count, fuzzy, flanneled, fleece, down feathered, soft, pimpin, padded, lighted, mirrored , name brand mattresses, flanneled sheets, complete with " blow up dolly" that adorn your beds.....
....I'd like to know how many times your sheets , comforters, blankets.....are washed ...once a week? twice a week? every other day? once a month? quarterly? annually? or when you start itching? :)
ps . Flannel is yummy, but time to put it away, its spring...break out that cotton...
