i had to settle an account couple of months back. they told me the settlement was for $255. plus $10 for some clerical charges. so the total was $265. i just got a call from another rep that said the settlement was $15 less than what was needed to close the account, so they're charging me the $15 needed, plus another $10. now, if they were nice about it, i wouldn't have made a fuss over the extra $10. but the guy was a jerk, so i fought him on the $10. i claim that was a mistake they made, so they needed to suck up the charge themselves. but the guy was so rude and ....BAH! is there anything i can do, other than vent here?

call back again and ask to talk to a supervisor. say you don't feel the extra charge is just and don't appreciate the rudeness of the last employee there whom you spoke with.

whenever you are talking to people like this on the phone ask for a name and write it down so you can reference them in case they turn out to be a$$holes and need a smack down.

on the same call, i did ask for the supervisor, unfortunately, he said he WAS the supervisor.

there is always a someone above the guy on the phone. until you hit the president ;)

Ask for his supervisor, be like look *******, I want to speak to YOUR manager. Or you can look up the info on the company and email the president and call him :D
