I left work to get lunch at the mall a few minutes away and some bozo in front of me waiting about 10 - 15 seconds before he went through the green light.

Slightly irratated, I made my way onto the highway. At my exit, just a few hundred feet in front of me, I see half a tree fall over on the exit ramp in between two cars in motion. The tree piece blocked most of the off ramp and the shoulder between it and the highway.

So after watching a butthead cab triver eek his way around the tree without getting his car stuck in the mud on the shoulder, me and three other drivers drug the tree through the mud so everyone else could get by.

After I drove off, I got to thinking that if that asshat at the light had been paying attention, my car or myself could be seriously damaged right now.

And the subtle reward for my endevor and getting muddy wet shoes: I get THE best parking spot for where I'm going in the crowded mall. Which this spot's location, I'm surprised it's not handicapped parking.

Now to enjoy my tasty panera bread....

Jeez sounds like a crazy storm just blew past. I wish one would pass by now, it's so freaking hot here.

I'm glad you were patient. :) It is definitely a virtue lost in this society, and it is pretty cool that you got to see the benefit from it imediately. I'm glad your ok and i hope you enjoyed your bread. I actually saw the first panera in california going up in lancaster. But i have not seen any around Los angeles, so i am jealous of your :munch: .
