On a 2 Port KVM Switch, can you switch back and forth from one computer to the other without restarting?
This is using one keyboard, one mice and one monitor.

Yup, sure can. They're pretty cheap these days, too... you can get a Linksys with the cables included for about $30 or so.

I got one like the one Jeff linked to but made by IOGear, you just hit the scroll lock button twice and it switches from one to the other.

the one i have at work is a iogear 4 port...
i hit the right ctrl key twice goes to the next computer up
i hit the left ctrl key twice, goes to the next computer down. :)

My Startech USB KVM doesn't change the inputs via a hotkey, but I just push a little button on the KVM itself to switch to another machine.

If you want one that includes dvi and usb, good luck. The cheapest they come is in the $200-$300 range.
