Best Search Engine

I just wanted to see what search engine everyone uses.

I use Google.

Yup, google is very accurate at finding junk. I find yahoo finds stuff that isn't crap. Also alltheweb.com is pretty extensive, but a lot of junk too.

Acutually Yahoo just switched over to Google, but I perfer Google because it has no ads.

i liked altavista at one point but now it is any search that produce the right results =)

i've said it before on another thread, but i'll bring it up again: copernic. download copernic2000 at www.copernic.com (http://www.copernic.com) This program searches 10 different search engines at once and compiles the results, which you can view in a browser.

google is pretty good, but go2net.com has an excellent search as well, i use them the most. sometimes webhelp.com is cool because they have a knack for finding offbeat web sites for some reason, and their people are fun to harass.

Runs a search through 10-15 other search engines.

I "grew up" on webcrawler. That one sucks!

I'm recalling now, my sophomore year in high school using "Veronica" on Gopher, and then transitioning over to "Webcrawler" on NCSA Mosaic my junior year in high school. Those were the old days. I miss the Mosaic...

the metacrawler type search is what's used on go2net.com. it pretty much kicks ass
