of eating nothing but food that was good for you and water(no beverages allowed) and you could live for 75 years or eat anything you wanted and could live till 55, which would you take?

:stupid:

I drink mostly water and juices during the day. Sometimes I have sodas and beers. I eat both veggie and meat.

Cop Out!

Me, I would take 55, unless that meant that I would become a physically shot, 300-lb, pre-Subway-Jared slob. 55 and reasonably fit. I'd take that.

(Mainly because I'm still in the sub-30 crowd, and getting old scares me.)

Assuming that it was a good healthy 75 years? I'd take the good stuff. Assuming it was reasonably good tasting that is. And by reasonably, y'all need to keep in mind that I've eaten some disgusting crap in my life and would probably be fine on Fear Factor.

Whatever though, I plan on living as long as God lets me. Tick, tock, tick, tock...

You are what you eat, so eat good stuff! (http://www.eatgoodstuff.com/hermosa.html)

Ok, anyone in the South Bay and Merlin will immediately understand. ;)

well, theres a problem there. for some people, fatty foods and the like aren't bad for them. there was a guy in NYC(dunno if hes still alive) that was 109 or so, and he ate some carb loaded food fried in lard.

My grandmother always used lard. What is it?

It's the animal equivalent of Crisco

Geez, what do I have to do to live until 90?

I would take the longer life hands down. I don't get tremendous amounts of pleasure out of eating. I know some do, but not me. Also eating right makes me feel better and helps me keep up a relatively active lifestyle. I would not be as happy eating rich foods and then getting winded while walking to the mailbox.

All that said though I would miss liquor. Gin, vodka, wine, beer, margaritas. I'd miss them a lot.

As a young person, I don't currently see the value in living in a miserable wreck of a body a few more wretched years, but I'm sure that my opinion will change when I get that old.

:stupid: i don't want to become like my grandparents, where the highpoint of the conversation is describing each and every pill i'm taking, how much it costs, and how big/little it is. growing old scares me. :bawl:

EASY choice, eat the junk food, live to 55. Cause 30+ years down the road I can just get a replacement heart and be back to normal in a day :D

I think in 30years the technology will be a lot greate then it is now, allowing people to eat junk food and get by more easily :)

yeah, 60 ain't nothing if you keep yourself healthy. my grandparents are pushing 80 and can keep up with my parents. they run around in an RV and help build churches and stuff. my father-in-law is 50, works out every day (he's huge in fact) and is getting ready to have more kids.

pretty much, i'm looking forward to 100.

I choose 75
Good food = better looking body = greater chance of getting a hot chick

Bad food = fatass = no hot chicks

i'd take the healthy, since a lot of good stuff is good for you... like sushi, lean steak, and grilled fish, and ceasar salad, etc
