View Full Version : P4 heat sink

I've got a P4 system where the plastic square that holds the heat sink down has broken. Does anyone know where I might be able to get one of these? Apparently they only come with a p4 motherboard or with a boxed version of the processor. I really don't feel like spending another 100 dollars just to get a little plastic attachment. Any help would be appreciated!

If its that plastic holder connected to the mobo.... I found one at Frys. I havent seen em there lately, but you can probably find it at one of the hw vendors online. Newegg.com or mwave.com or outpost.com or svc.com etc.

I checked on there but they didn't have any. I'm sure tons of places have these things just laying around but nobody thinks anyone would want one. I have any extra connector for a Athlon 64 but that doesn't really help me here.

I would call newegg.com, and ask for a technical support *supervisor*. You might also try your school district's technical support, whoever does the computer repairs for your area schools.
