Well I found a new Judo Dojo in Gardena. ( www.gardenadojo.com )It is an older dojo with several older high-dans there. Sensei Wada himself is a 7th dan and Sensei Sharp is a 6th Dan. Everyone there is really cool and I had a good practice until the last 10 minutes or so of Randori (sparring practice) when I re-activated an old shoulder injury picking a big guy up with Tsuri Komi Goshi (one of my favorite hip-throws). It didn't feel so bad when I left the dojo but later that night it started setting in pretty badly and by this morning I couldn't lift my arm above my head.

According to my doctor I've got a classic case of shoulder impingement syndrome (rotator cuff tendonitis). It should go away in a few days but I have to not lift anyone with it for a week or two at least.

Oh well, at least I got couple good prescriptions out of it. :)

(no Nija, you can't have any :P )

I have shoulder impingement syndrome too. Mine acted up after a brief period of grappling. I'm not sure what movement it was that inflamed it, butit hurt. I had Motrin 800 and a sling for a week. It went away. It hasn't acted up since, but at the ame time, I have done much to encourage it to.

I've got Daypro and Vicodin. The Daypro takes care of the inflamation and the Vicodin, well lets just say it just takes the edge off the world. :)
