I don't know about 101.5 and other Clear Channle stations....

I know it is not much consolation, but I have seen these kinds of situations before.

The senior people in marketing, maybe from HQ and not even at the local station, come up with a "great idea" to increase listeners. Typically, they do this via meetings that include only marketing people and never include any operations people...the people who have to implement it.

Then, the marketing management comes to the operations management and tells them to implement the new system. The operations management says they don't have the people to manage it. The marketing management says operations has to implement with their current staff.

Operations management picks someone down the chain in operations to take care of the new system, on top of whatever tasks he/she already has. This lower level operations person may or may not be very well motivated, so they do as they please, figuring (1) they were never consulted about it, (2) they already have too much to do, and (3) who cares.

There is a code for 10 am, 1 pm, and 5 pm. There will be a place to putthem when you select "Secret Codes". But they are only available for 2 hours from the time the word is announced. So, you can enter the 10 am code from 10 am till noon, the 1 pm code from 1 to 3, and the 5 p.m. code from 5 to 7 pm.
