Did you have fun?

I did go and it was a blast! I was introduced to a whole new list of bands that bring a whole new energy.

One way to describe it is Street Scene meets Mardi Gras meets Blacks Beach meets Burning Man meets Jazz Fest meets late night on a college campus... (I'm missing some elements, but you get the point)

The bands were loud and so full of energy that it didn't dawn on us that it was 1 or 2 or even 3 in the morning.

One downside was that there was a death during the trip. The hot rumors were that it was a female who overdosed prior to getting to Ensenada on Saturday morning. When we returned to Long Beach Monday morning, the entire ship was detained more than 6 hours before we could disembark while they conducted the investigation...

I still wouldn't have paid cash for this trip and may not have spent the points if I had them, but I am really glad we got to experience it...

If you're a music aficionado and are into the kind of bands like George Clinton and other "fusion funk", then this is your destiny...
