Is it just my 'puter or is anyone else having a problem
with the popup to enter a keyword? I've turned off my
popup blocker, hit the back button, hit refresh, started
from scratch, deleted cookies and all temp files, emptied
history and set it to 0 days, started from scratch again,
and it seems to only appear at it's own whim. Takes more
time than the measly points are worth and there's really
nothing to spend them on anyway!

I've noticed that if it was previously opened and not closed, it sets the focus to the window but doesn't bring it to the front so it may be hidden behind.
What I hate is when I click to open the window and it tells me I have to log back in so I have to press log-in, then Secret Codes, then the 10/1/5 oclock link AGAIN! all to get a measly 250 points that isn't very useful for much of anything!
BTW
If you're only using IE as a browser, try downloading Netscape Navigator or Firefox (or maybe Opera) so you have some alternatives.

BTW, I finally took the plunge & signed up w/GotApex. Been a "long time listener, first time caller" as they say in talk radio land. I have many thanks to all the invaluable contributors. You've saved me lots of radio dial carpal tunnel! ;^)

I've seen too many management messages that say "oh, nothing to worry about" just before they lay people off.
The VIP program is a big liability to them right now because they haven't offered many prizes and people have racked up a lot of points.
Maybe everything will be fine, but the fact that they sent this "newsletter" e-mail with no point word concerned me. I'm just waiting for big changes to come and change could be good or bad. But when they start saying "don't worry" that's when I worry!
(In all fairness, the e-mail looks innocent enough, but time will tell.)

My best guess is that if after the bid is submitted and then they use points to buy a prize or enter a raffle and their account balance falls below their bid amount, their bid becomes null and void. The next bid would then become the high bid... It's still a crazy bid. :banghead:
With some prizes, the value of points is roughly 300 per dollar - i.e. Rod Stewart tickets were 45,000 points. Assuming $150 per pair, that means one dollar is worth 300 points.
A pair of movie passes that 'cost' 2,000 points is worth roughly 100 points per dollar (assuming $20 for a pair of movie tickets).
So where am I going with all this? (sometimes I wish I knew... :confused:) If you calculate the dollar value of the number of points used to buy this $100 gift card, the associated dollar value should be anywhere from $1,333 to $4,000!!! :faint:
Now I know some of you are going to jump all over this and say there's nothing else to spend your points on, but I thought it was an interesting little exercise. I also have a strong feeling we're going to be seeing more in the way of movie tickets, museum passes, etc... (and in case anyone's wondering, I have nothing to do with CC or KGB - other than being a listener...)

I phoned the Ironhorse shop, & the guy remembered me coming in this AM, & he verified that the sign did read: "2005 BLOWOUT", but evidently as stated earlier only "BLOWOUT" works. I do not have access to enter/check the codes into the websites from my work computer. Glad we were able to get it clarified = Way to go G/A Team!:shakehand

FYI prototype...confirmation should not be done by ENTERING a code but only by SEEING/HEARING the code.
Once upon a time, Fox posted bogus codes that WORKED, but since they weren't real codes, they shut down all of those accounts. Since then, we've called them poison codes: codes that work but make you lose your account.
However, I'm guessing that this one is fine since we got it from our trustworthy Paniolo (even if it was posted wrong in the store.)
