i'm sitting at her work right now drinking a beer as i post this. one friday each month they have happy hour downstairs with free beer, wine, cheese, chips, etc. scored 4 free beers + one for the road.

i should have been a scientist :)

Pfizer does the same thing (or is she at pfizer?) Every friday my room mate brings home 4 beers for us.

My work used to allow alcohol drinking during BBQs and events like that, but I think the fear of lawsuits from drunken driving caused them to change the rules.

Same with me, all we get is casual friday. My boss and I have to pay for our beer on Fri night stress reducers.

Oh yeah? Well every Friday at MY work, they cancel the hourly beatings if you work 20 hours instead of 16. Beat that!

If you'll excuse me, I'm off to go spend the 57 cents I earned for my 20 hours today.

Nice score! I sure hope you weren't drinking that last beer while you were driving though... :confused:

Back at my .com job we used to have beer Fridays... and gaming Thursdays... and pool tournament Wednesdays... and Nerf battle Tuesdays. Mondays, everyone was busy from 10am - 2pm, minus a 2 hour catered lunch.

Dang, I wonder why that company went out of business???

Hey! That sounds like *my* old job. Except you forgot the video game tourneys using the board room projector, the bar cart, and the daily happy hour complete with movies. Those were the days...
