I think too many people get over concerned about taxes.

You don't have to pay taxes on the list price...if you see any discounted price for the same cruise, then the value of the cruise is that, not the list price, and the taxes are based on the lower value.

I win trips all the time....there are many ways to reduce your tax liability...been doing it for more than 20 years.
