Odds are MUCH WORSE than 1:100 or even 1:1000! Except for the sweepstakes marked "L" for local, the sweepstakes are NATIONAL among ALL the stations that belong to CBS: which are many!

No, you shouldn't bet that prizes are going to friends. That's a really dangerous thing to do, with loss of job being the least of the micreant's problems. Audits DO happen.

The real problem is that Mary Deary, who seems to have been the rainmaker in terms of promotional prizes, has moved from KYXY to Clear Channel. The auction and trade-in pages on the Clear Channel stations' promo sites are very well stocked now (dozens of items each, most worth $25 or better), while the cupboards are nearly bare at KYXY.

It's a shame. KYXY used to have the best promo program in San Diego, and they're racing to the bottom of the list now.

I went to tour the 4 different developments. Beautiful homes, but not affordable unless I win the lottery.

All of them had wonderful food by an Irvine catering company. The only bad part was that they ran out of KYXY cards at the last development. They asked us to write our names down on a list, however, I still have not received my points.

I think what Dog was trying to say is that don't have the same user name on the actual stations compared to what your name on this site is when posting codes, even though they would have to go through thousands of names to match one name on here to one or all of the stations giving away prizes like Clear Channel. They have 7 stations all run by Mary Deary, so for her it would be 1 to 7 chances of catching someone, but she is relentless!

I'm not Dogo-but I know what he means. Radio stations don't care how many of their stations you participate in"The more the merrier"! for them...means your listening to their stations. The key here is to make sure that they can't match your information to their accounts.

In addition, i've heard that they will cancel your ClearChannel accounts on their own whims, if they even THINK that you're not perfectly following their rules, even if the rules are not well defined. (If you've had an account canceled, I'd love to get a PM from you so I can compile some statistics for this and maybe report back some combined stats--as long as they don't point to anyone.)

My biggest complaint about them is that they've made it very difficult to enter the codes for very little benefit compared to the effort...and they don't even pay for anything--it's all advertising dollars from their sponsors. If you were an advertiser, wouldn't you want MORE people exposed to your prizes rather than LESS? I really think that the businesses they contact are very naiive about what Mary is doing to them.

I did. Here's how it goes. It tells you that you get a free meal from Valley View Casino which is voted as number 1 in San Diego county among buffet restaurants. Sure, you go to Valley View Casino which is about 45 minutes to an hour drive from downtown. Then Valley View's requirements is for you to sign up first for free from them then you go on line to wait for your turn to eat. Depending on how many people are there at that time, you could get you up to about an hour on line before they could get you seated. Here's another thing, if this is your first time, you don't need a complimentary card from KYXY or any other radio station promotions to have a free meal from Valley View Casino. All you have to do is go there at their players club section and sign up and you get a free meal. Note that signing up as a member is free. :bandit: :bandit: :bandit:

Thanks for the info. I've been a member of KYXY for a while now (lately, I've been wondering why?) and didn't receive my card this month. Was wondering if that part of their promotion is also going downhill like their prizes.

As for the VV Buffet, it's pretty good, however, is it really worth it to drive all the way up there for 1 buffet? :disa:
