So twice in the last year we have been contacted by tv show producers wanting to put our huge family on tv. First by a producer from 60 Minutes, then a few weeks ago by an NBC producer for some new reality show about large familes. When it came down the the wire, we were cut both times.

I'm thinking of sending in a tape to "Extreme Makeover Home Edition". I watched the show last night, and they remodeled a families home because they were going to have triplets. Mind you, their home looked pretty darn nice before the remodeling. I think our story would be more compelling: 9 kids (soon to be 10) living in a 90 year old 4 bedroom house. Sears is the main sponsor of the show, and get this: our house is a Sears mail-order house. Sounds like a perfect show! :)

So would you be on a "reality" tv show? Do you know anyone who has?

I've known several people who went on Reality Dating shows . . . Shipmates  and Elimidate

Also had quite a few run-ins with people who have been on Reality series . . . a couple folks from Average Joe and a bunch of the Real World Vegas folks along with people who are going to be on the new Paradise Island.

Of course, your show is very different from these shows and it actually has some practical purpose. However, the thought of being lumped in with these people makes me very wary of going on Reality TV.

i love extreme makeover: home edition. the renovations are simply amazing. i think i've seen all the episodes and each remodeled home was breathtaking. top-of-the-line everything... but for some reason, it seems all the homes that were redone are all in SoCal... but heck, with such a large family, you sound like an ideal candidate.

apply and let us know what happens!!
