I just got this mouse and it is so smooth. I crunch alot of data and the tilt wheel makes life so easy when you need to go side to side. My intellimouse explorer 3 feels so cheap next to the new version.

I got the wireless intellimouse explorer with tilt wheel at the end of December. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. My hands are pretty small and it was kind of awkward. But now that I have used it for a few months I love the thing. Have been using it for 3 months already and the battery level is still going strong.

I dislike wireless mice. I had a logitech one and it was horrible so I always stick to corded mice.

I like the the new crop of MS mice and I'm looking for the cordless one with 5 buttons and tilt. I don't like the keyboard layout. They made the Delete button long and moved the Insert button up. Some of the games I play use the standard keyboard layout to play.

If you want wireless they have a really nice leather one. I searched far and wide for a leather corded mouse with no luck.

The new explorer mice are nice. I just got one for my dad. However I still prefer my Logitech MX500 better for me. I have short thumbs and the two side buttons are easier to press than the MS one. I also like the scroll up and down buttons on the top and bottom of the the scroll wheel. Makes scrolling up and down long lists much easier than spinning the wheel. And I need the clicky wheel because I play FPS games and the clicks are needed to change weapons accurately.
If someone is looking for a mouse and works with large pictures or spreadsheets I think the new MS mice would be a great choice. The side scroll the the smooth wheel scroll is just what the doctor ordered.
Lastly, for anyone who thinks that cordless mice feel laggy or lacking control. The latest from Logitech (MX700, MX900) and the MS one will change your mind.

Yep had one for about 2 months now and love it. I rarely use excell so I haven't really used much of the side scroller but its a nice thing its there.

i prefer my logitech optical. It was the first optical logitech put out when they hit the market. Its designed for both left and right handers, it has a scroll wheel, and 2 buttons.
I also use one of those free MS intellimouse notebook mice that MS sent out a few months back for taking a survey. I only use this on my powerbook. I like it because its small, so i can bring it with me whenever I leave the office.
