I'm about to act a fool up in here!!!!


SO check this out, i call my lawyer, since i haven't heard from him in about 2 months, and last i saw him he said we have to pled guilty, since you have a snowballs chance in hell. SO i'm like fine, so he says then there will be a minimum fine that you will pay. I'm like ok fine. SO he doesn't call me, i decide to call him, and i speak to his secretary since he is in court. ANd she says, oh yea he pled guilty back in january, i'm like umm ok was anyone going to inform me.... pause....
Sir do you mean to tell me that you didn't pay the fine?

I exploded i'm like are you people ****ing insane if no one contacted me how am i supposed to know what and when to pay... she then says, wow this means your licence is suspended.:angry:


WTF no one contacted me the lawyer has been paid already, what do you guys think i should do? what can i do? Bastards!!!!!

Hey hey hey, don't you go putting lawyers in the same boat as those greedy doctors. :P

Doctors are actually having a bad time of it lately. Insurance costs are thru the roof and HMO's have been bad for business IMO. It's kinda strange to see doctors make under 200k when some nurses make well over a 100k.

Go to court and try to clear it up. If the judge fines you extra try to recoupe it from your lawyer. Lawyer gives problems get yourself a new prob..er lawyer and sue.

Whoa, that is not right at all. I say you do nto just start yelling at him, start with a calm tone hear his reason. If you start flaming immidiatly, it never turns out well. Actually offer to meet him somewhere, you will have better results becuase he can't hang up nor does he want a scene to be created.

i don't have time to meet him :( ******* i wanna tear him to shreds. ANd when they tell you you can't drive without a license they lie... car starts, engine turns... i did notice some problems with the car though ;)

i found another person, that a similar thing happened to with the same lawyer, he forgot to file my friends papers and his licese was also suspended

Just because there are some bad lawyers and some bad doctors does not mean you should disparage the entire profession. There have been plenty of bad engineers who designed flawed structures (such as suspension bridges which rattle themselves apart to platfroms that break from the weight of people standing on them because although they calculated the load right, they failed to take into consideration the variable of how to propertly attach the lower levels to the upper ones.)

As for what to do...contact your attorney and inform him of his failure. Tell him that you want this fixed immediately and at no extra cost to you. Otherwise, I would contact the DMV, submit the fine immediately so you can get the suspension removed.

If this is as you described then it falls under legal malpractice. If when you speak with your lawyer you get any guff from him just mention "malpractice" and watch his attitude change. Afterall, one malpractice chrage can cause his insurance rates to jump. He'll probably play ball just to keep it all off his record.
