US fast food giant McDonald's is to launch a range of children's clothing in North America and western Europe.

The McKids range will be designed, made and distributed by Chinese firm Shanghai Longhurst.

The products will initially go on sale in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and South Korea, before reaching Europe, Japan and North America next year.

The McKids line of products will also include toys, videos, DVDs and books.

The deal with Longhurst comes after the trialling of McKids clothing products in stores in Shanghai and Indonesia.

How would you like to be that kid in the pic? That poor kid might as well be dancing with a golf ball retriever.

I"m sure all the other kids remind him of that each chance they get-blame the parents, not the boy..I feel sorry for him.

Being "hefty" myself, I won't make fun of the kid. Oh who am I kidding? The fat off that kid could deep fry the kid next to him!

I can spot a family guy quote a mile away.
"Son, I see your hiding two hams under your shirt."
"I NEED AN ADULT! I NEED AN ADULT!"

Dude, that kid needs to start walking like ASAP. And then he needs to turn eighteen and sue his parents or something. The best part about that picture is that he's at Mickey-D's. Why? Do you need another roll? That umpteenth chin isn't enough for you?

Man... poor kid. He might already have diabetes. The youngest kid I've seen so far with diabetes was 9. His parents should really be locked up. :(

I assume you mean type 2 diabetes, not type 1 diabetes.

Yeah. I wouldn't be shocking to me had it been type 1.

Looking at the size of him, I wouldn't be surprized if he had 3...or even more!!!

I can't believe you guys are making fun of that boy..what if it was one of your children (and lets hope you all know better than to let your child be at such an unhealthy weight)..OBVIOUSLY his problem is from eating (look at the wrappers in front of him)..and not genetics..which is the case for alot of bigger kids, and adults..the parents are to blame for his size. Be angry with the parents-but don't make fun of the boy-it's just so wrong...hey-I was a fat kid from a ginormous italian family, and also a very fat adult for a while, and I almost made myself deathly ill to get as thin as I am now. Dieting to make other people happy is no fun thats for sure....I know what its like to be picked on as both a child and an adult...and let me tell you its no fun. Please leave the kid alone-or put yourself in his shoes for a while..how do you think he feels when all the skinny kids can go on rides that he cant fit into-or do things like running, or playing ball which he most likely cannot do..I'm sure he's a pretty lonely, sad kid-and its NOT funny.

I want to make a nother joke, but that may be beating a dead horse. I just don't think it matters whether we make fun of that kid HERE. More than that, I can safely say that I'm fat, and I know what it's like to be the brunt of these jokes, and humor is a healthy release. Every time we need to stop making jokes for the sake of one group or another, life's joys are cut down. If we can't make fun of fat people, what safe group is there left? Other than Catholics that is.

Call me a callous tool as you please.

if you enjoy being the brunt of peoples jokes then I'm sorry you have serious issues of denial. Ask anyone who is heavy (and like i said i've been there so i know)..it is definately NOT a healthy release to be the brunt of peoples cruel jokes, comments and snickers.. You're statements are what gives that "fat people are jolly people" crap some backing..if you feel so strongly that being the brunt of these jokes is amusing to you then I'll be the first to send you a big ass case of big macs and you can go to town on them..Oh, and btw-I'm catholic too and I'm beginning to take a real disliking to your HIGH LEVEL OF IGNORANCE.

The alt text for that picture on the BBC website is "McKids in a McDonald's in Moscow"

Very few will make fun of this kid, unless they want to be bodyslammed. This is toddler heavyweight wrestler Dzhambulat Khotokhov, first discussed in this thread (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=63351). Now everyone knows why Brock Lesner left for the NFL.

Wow. Sorta puts the argument in context. I declare myself winner. And Emperor. (For those not inclined, that was a joke too. I just made fun of myself for being stupid. Happy?)

That's why that kid looks familiar to me.
