Are they safe to use. I have never used them or other pay sites.

i use it. however, i use my credit card for purchases on ebay. so far, no problems.

I use it. I have it linked to my bank account so that the people I pay do not get charged a bunch of fees.

They are very safe for a buyer. For a seller, you have to be very careful. If you don't comply exactly with their policies for sellers, the buyer can request a refund and paypal will automatically give it to them.

Their support is pretty hit-and-miss. I sent one question and got a completely clear answer back. I sent another one four times, and got nothing but canned responses that didn't answer the question.

I use paypal as a buyer and seller, I do use my credit card and so that way I have protcetion with them too

You may want to contact your credit card to make sure. In essence, your credit card is not the one sending payment to another party. Paypal is actually the remitter of the payment no matter how you funded your Paypal account.

Most credit card companies will NOT protect you when you use a third party to make a payment (ie: Paypal, Western Union)

I don't have any problem with them yet (both as buyer and seller). I only link to my credit card but I think I am going to link to my checking account soon since I want my money transfer there. I got jibbed one time on eBay and I got my $$$ back thru paypal.

once ebay bought them out it's been pretty smooth
