Did anyone else just finish watching it as well? I was rooting for Aaron all the way, but he came up short. :( I was also disappointed that I wasn't able to vote online since ESPN's website couldn't handle all the traffic. Ah well, the guy who won did a good job tonight.

I'd have to agree with you that Mike did a better job today than Aaron. However, I think that Aaron brings more to the table with all his experience and is more refined than Mike. The one contestant I couldn't stand was Maggie! Watching her in the earlier shows felt like I was tuned into SNL or something... way too obnoxious for a Sports Center anchor position.
I was rooting for Aaron too, because he really had his stuff together. Knew how to debate the topics, threw in some timely catch phrases (the "case of the runs" line several weeks ago still makes me laugh). Slaughtered Mike in the Jeopardy-type game too. Mike does look more comfortable on camera though.
I'm surprised Zach didn't make the final 2. Kornheiser admitted that he had the most talent of the bunch and cut him anyway... and Al Jaffe agreed that he was probably the strongest competitor, but just not a good fit for SportsCenter. Surprised at Kornheiser's vote.
Maggie definitely wasn't good enough to be in the final 4. I thought she should have been cut in the 6->4 round. Definitely not the most annoying contestant though. Quigley was terrible, he should have been cut the very first show (instead of Chris Williams' early departure). He just yelled a lot and stumbled over the teleprompter lines. THAT was the SNL guy. The other cuts (leading up to the final 4) I guess I can live with.

Maggie wasn't a sportscenter guy, but I have to stick with my fellow Brown students :)
But I thought it was a huge toss up, both were equal, but Aaron had a little slip up and that's what cost him.
If ESPN was smart, they hire Aaron as well. Actually if Fox Sports was smart, they should hire Aaron right now.
Apparently he's going to be on all the sportscenters on monday. This is the first time I'm going to watch the 6pm one (overlaps with simpsons).

My roommates and I were watching it(like we do every sunday night). I am glad aaron got the boot, he should have been booted awhile ago. He would be good as a sports guy on a local TV station(more serious) but not a SC anchor.
I really wanted zach to win, but I can see espn giving him another job cause he has the talent.
I did like how they had him play for his salary afterwards though, it will be interesting to see him tonite.
One note, I HATE how he acts stupid sometimes, all giggly and does stupid things. Overall he is good though.
