i'm not to concerned myself since i don't use kazaa anymore, but for those of you who do and have trance songs, i'd watch out for this...

I'm sorry.. I just don't believe that one..

if you search google for W32.Trance.1999@mm or any variation of that name.. you get nothing.. you search google for the executable, WinTrance.exe .. you get nothing..

there have been a number of hoaxes saying that you can get a virus by playing an mp3.. they're just hoaxes..

just read all the stuff in this google search (http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=mp3+virus&btnG=Search) and you'll see that it can't be done.. the mp3 player itself would of had to have been compromised first.

Further, if you do a visualroute of that ip addy, you'll see that it resolves to www.tranceaddict.com ..just someone's site not an offical AV vendor..

so it's just a bunch of bull..

well, to be honest i saw this posted in the tranceaddict forums, so i was just trying to spread the word (if it was true)...i never thought that mp3's could be of any danger, but in actuallity, if mp3's could be corrupted, it'd be a much more dangerous downloading world out there.

well, for most people, it's cause it's free...

as far as myself, i don't download mainstream music anymore...

i remember spending 1/2 my paycheck each week on cd's alone (back when they were like 16 - 20 a pop)...now i'm doin that with dvd's...

anyhoo...for awhile (during the golden days of napster, scour, audiogalaxy....) it was justified due to the amount of money i have spent and being overcharged in the process.

anyways, nowadays, anything on the radio is crap...i just download dj mixes...

What are some good mixes to look out for nowadays? My favorite one that I downloaded a couple of years ago was PVD@Rosemontags Rave. I havent been able to find one that comes close to even touching that one.

well, there is this guy who is posting all of oakenfolds old essential radio 1 mixes the full (100+ meg versions)...if he posts the rosmontags mix i'll let you know...pm with your email, and i'll see if i can't upload it somewhere....if i get it
