Probably next week i'm planning on having cable and internet in my new apartment. Time Warner is running a package deal for a bit then its like 90 buck s a month.

There is only 1 cable outlet. If I have them put in digital cable with the reciever and all, a cable modem, can I also split off the tv signal to multiple rooms?

Here is what I am assuming: Outlet, split in 2 one to digital cable, ther other to cable modem. I split off the signal before the digital box, send 1 to the box, and split the rest off to the other rooms.

I know that I won't have digital cable in the other rooms but I would get regular cable right? Not that I need all this, but it would be nice. I would have the digital cable, and the cable modem in the living room, have a tv in the bed room, a tv in the office, and another hooked up to my computer. Is that too much???? My guess is they will have to boost my signal alot if I do this.

i don't think you're problem is with the signal, but with the receiver.

With digital cable these days, you need the receiver to change channels. So you need a receiver in each room. I'm not so sure what happens if you plug in the cable straight from the outlet (or branched from the outlet) into the tv.

I have Comcast and I split the signal to my cable modem and my digital receiver. At one in point in time I had your setup and split the line so one went to the reciever and one to another tv. I usd the box to change channels for the digital cable shows and my regular remote for the ordinary cable channels. My problem came when the signal was too weak and had a guy come in fix it. He didn't recommend me spliting the cable signal too much net time.

Yes you still get analog cable.

you said, what they will do for free. they have a three way splitter. one goes to your main tv (with the digital box) on goes to the cable modem, via coax, and the last one goes to the other tc, via coax. the satellite tv will be analog cable.
