NSS: Dell hooked my brother up

my brother was looking for a laptop. he checked out bb and i told him to wait and see what apex had. he followed a link from the deals page and got an inspiron for around 8-900 with a couple of options. extra memory. internal 802.11b card, etc.

so today they come out with the free digital camera and printer if you buy an inspiron. i told him to call dell and see if he could get that added. he called even though the laptop is getting delivered today and they told him that it was too late. however, as a one time courtesy offer, they took %10 off of the purchase price and refunded it. lol. they gave him $90 just for having the balls to call up and ask for something extra.


hahahaha....my cheapness payed off for someone else.

They have a price guarantee for a certain amount of time, so theoretically any special offers that would now be included should be able to be added.

Well, they're kind of dodgy on the price guarantee. They really only guarantee price drops - coupons and special offers don't qualify.

I got a 400SC during one of the low price deals ($100 instant rebate + $100 mail in). 2 days after I order, they bump the instant rebate to $125, but they won't credit me the $25 because it's not a price drop, but a promotional deal.
