my friend who works for the state transportation dept. told me about this one, i dont know if it works, but it's worth a try:
when you get a ticket for speeding or running a light or any violation where you will get a point on your record, when you get the fine in the mail, say it is $75, mail them a check for $77. the computer will register the payment and print you a check for a $2 refund. since no transaction is final until all monies have exchanged hands, do not cash the refund check. the computer will never register the deal closed and the points will never be posted to your record.
i'd say thats worth $2

Huh! Pretty interesting...I wonder if it works that way with all bail...like if you have $10,000 in bail you have to pay, and pay them $10,002, do they just never come looking for you?

Heh. Don't bother - this is an urban legend that's been going around for a while.

If you never cash the check, you'll be out two bucks AND you'll have points on your license.

if it doesnt work you just cash the $2 check and go to traffic school. you're no worse off than you would have been in the first place. another good one is to write that the officer refused to show you their radar gun(if busted for speeding) when you sign the ticket. that's against the law and you are home free. i actually used that one on the freeway, the cop was watching traffic while i signed the ticket, i went to traffic court and pointed it out and i was outta there!
