whats the best for the money?, willing to pay a little extra.

depends on what you use your computer for. If it's for 3d gaming I'd have to say the ATI Radeon 9600 pro. Pricewatch shows it for $100.

ATI Radeon 9600 gets my vote, or pay a little more for the pro version.

If you actually click the link from pricewatch, they put ATI 9600 non-pro cards into pro category. The pro version will run you another 30 to 40 bucks.

is the 9600pro better then the 9500 pro
since i havnt paid attention to hardware for a while, the little bit i have read is that ati got sorta squirly with the numbers...

the 9500pro is better in most situations than the 9600pro. The 9500pro is about equal to the 9600xt. Good luck finding a 9500pro for $100 though. For $100 I'd get a 9600pro. Nvidia doesn't have anything nearly that competitive in the price range.

yeah ive noticed...
i messaged 7 people on anandtech about 9500 pros hopefully one of them still has one....

R9600Pro but I don't think you could find one for $100.

Wait just one month for the "price war" to begin. There's gotta be a small to decent drop with the new Nvidia line.
